What
Authentic Happiness Coaching is...
Authentic Happiness
Coaching will change your mood and change your life!
Authentic Happiness
Coaching has a powerful collection of documented exercises for increasing
pleasure, engagement, and meaning in your life.
Right from the
beginning the Authentic Happiness Coaching Program will be working
and demonstrating measurable evidence of its effectiveness! You
will take assessments (at the beginning and at the end of our coaching
relationship). This will allow you to measure changes in your ability
to lead a life that is happier, more engaged, and more meaningful.
At the subjective
level Authentic Happiness Coaching is about positive experience:
well-being, optimism, and flow. At the individual level it is about
the character strengths-the capacity for love and vocation, courage,
interpersonal skill, aesthetic sensibility, perseverance, forgiveness,
originality, future-mindedness, and high talent. At the group level
it is about the civic virtues and the institutions that move individuals
toward better citizenship: responsibility, parenting, altruism,
civility, moderation, tolerance, and work ethic.
The aim of Positive Psychology is to understand and then build on those factors that allow individuals, communities, and societies to flourish. The field of Positive Psychology advances the understanding and building of the qualities that make life worth living.
A person's life
is replete with positive subjective experience when s/he feels frequent
pleasant emotions, finds a pleasant interest in most daily activities,
feels a degree of physical pleasure, judges his or her life and
important domains such as work and health to be very satisfying,
and finds his or her life to be meaningful and fulfilling.
Life-task activities
related to people's individual goals are now seen as crucial for
obtaining positive subjective experiences. People achieve greater
life satisfaction when they work for things they value rather than
merely for things that bring immediate pleasure. Pure physical hedonism
(pleasure seeking) does not maximize positive experience for most
people, and the effect of wealth on subjective well-being is surprisingly
small.
By developing
a deep understanding of how to integrate Authentic Happiness into
your own life -- by living a life of happiness, engagement, and
deep meaning, you will become a model for your children, significant
other, friends, coworkers, --
those around you!
